The Chicago Rastafarians eventually emerged as victors over the Dyersville Jurassics by the score of 4 to 0. Chicago took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning plating an isolated run. Frank Menechino was hit by a pitch. Ryan Freel dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. David Dejesus then drew a walk. Jason Kendall stepped in and he delivered a single scoring the run. The early run support proved sufficient for Kennedy and Chicago. That was all the run support Kennedy required. Dyersville had 10 hits in the game while Chicago had 7, but Chicago had the more timely hits. Kennedy was helped out by Mike Stanton who recorded his 1st save.
